Brookland Plantation on Edisto Island boast historic features listed on the National Register of Historic Places and substantial frontage on Shingle Creek . The Greek Revival house was built circa 1803 and totally restored in 2004. The plantation's traditional uses are protected under a conservation easement with the Low Country Open Land Trust.
